*in search for* is used in headlines or in the context where the 'search' has begun for something missing.
In that case, the search for overlooked chapters of historical urban development of the city, and the remaking of its edge, and the missing environmental consciousness of the river as a natural and social infrastructure, but also, it's an allusion to the physical absence of the river, hidden by channel walls, the ramps and the Beirut Solar Snake project, which will roof it entirely when it will be completed.
