Project Description
The architecture of the Eresta house emerges from contradicting site conditions: Located on a scenic foothill that overlooks Nahr Ibrahim valley, the site is surrounded by neighborhing buildings that mask the scenery on three sides. The resulting building reorients north in a Vshaped plan to capture the views while creating privacy from the main road which is situated at a lower level. Adapting to a steep topographic change, the architecture of the house extends to the landscape.  A stone wall wraps diagonally around the house, creating a thick enclosure that defines outdoor extensions on the lower and upper levels, framing spaces and views in between.
